Baruch Dayan HaEmes
We regret to inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yosef Krupnik a”h.
The levaya will be held tomorrow morning, Erev Pesach, at 9:30 am at Hebrew Memorial Chapel.
Rabbi Krupnik was a longtime Kashrus Administrator for the Vaad Harabbonim of Detroit. Rabbi Krupnik’s decades of dedicated service, tireless efforts, working early mornings and late nights, and countless endeavors working behind the scenes, all allowed for the needs of the Kosher consumer here in Detroit to be met with professionalism, rigor, and most of all, menschlichkeit. His sincere warmth made him widely admired across all walks of life, and everyone who interacted with him was always in for a treat as he lovingly shared his wealth of knowledge, charm, and wisdom.
In addition, Rabbi Krupnik spent many years serving as a shomer at Hebrew Memorial Chapel over weekends, Shabbos and Yom Tov.
His passing is a huge loss for our Detroit Jewish community. May his family be comforted בתוך אבלי ציון וירושלים.
