Kirkland Signature brand frozen Blueberries/Raspberries/Strawberries (sold at Costco stores) bears a BCK symbol and the Hebrew words, “zakuk l’bedikas toloyim” (needs to be checked for insects). The
certification is for the processing agents only. While the company checks for insects, this does NOT meet the halachic requirement, and those who require checking on frozen berries will need to check these too. In the future the Hebrew words will be replaced by an English statement: “toloyim inspection required”.
