Some SNAPPLE MULTIPACKS of 8 Oz. SNAPPLE LEMON, SNAPPLE PEACH, and SNAPPLE APPLE drinks are mistakenly missing the OK symbol on the individual bottles. The outer packaging, however, does display the symbol, and these products are certified Kosher-pareve.
Note that not all Snapple drinks are Kosher, and not all Kosher varieties are pareve. Always check for the OK symbol, plus for its pareve / dairy / DE status.
ICEE FROZEN BEVERAGES: Some Urban Air locations in NY, NJ and other areas, post a certification letter from the K-COR [Council of Orthodox Rabbis / Vaad Harabbonim of Greater Detroit] on their Icee machine. Consumers should be aware that there is no certification or supervision at these locations to ensure that Kosher syrup is being used. The K-COR certification applies only to cases or containers of Icee syrup that bear the K-COR symbol. It is up to the consumer to verify this by opening the cabinet at the bottom of the machine to check the label on the 5 gal. case of syrup for the K-COR or other reliable Kashrus symbol.
L’OVEN FRESH SWIRL RAISIN CINNAMON BREAD at Aldi in some areas, including Lakewood and Cleveland, bears a computer-generated inkjet type of OU. The OU has confirmed that this is Kosher pareve. In other areas, including Detroit, this product bears an OU-D and lists “natural dairy type flavors”. The OU has confirmed that this is also Kosher-pareve. The D is a mistake, and the flavors do not contain dairy.

• TUS NALGUITAS SON MIAS TEQUILA – unauthorized OK symbol.
• EACCO VIIGR GELATIN EMPTY PILL CAPSULES bear an unauthorized Star-K symbol and are not Kosher.
PRODUCT RECALLS
MA COHEN’S KIPPERED HERRING has been recalled because it consists of uneviscerated fish which has the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium which can cause life-threatening illness or death. Consumers are warned not to use the product even if it does not look or smell spoiled.
